ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT
Xena felt the
incredible warmth of silky hair and skin pressed close. Even in sleep, Gabrielle
clung to her lover, wrapping an arm around her body. As she felt that hold
tighten fractionally, Xena couldn't help but smile. "I love you,"
she exhaled and pressed the most delicate of kisses to the younger woman's
forehead.
"I know," Gabrielle mumbled, without really waking up. "Love you too." She snuggled a little closer, burying her nose in the curve of Xena's shoulder.
"Sleep now," Xena whispered. "I'll be here in the morning."
"I know," Gabrielle sighed, then slipped off into sleep again.
